Qualification : A candidate should possess a Master’s Degree in the concerned subject from a recognized University with at least 55% of marks or its equivalent grade with a 2nd Class in the Bachelor’s Degree. Provided that candidates belonging to the Scheduled castes and Scheduled Tribes shall possess a Master’s Degree in the concerned subject from a recognized University with at least 50% marks or its equivalent grade with a 2nd Class in the Bachelor’s Degree. NET shall remain the compulsory requirement for appointment as Lecturer for those with post-graduate degree, but the candidates having Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the provisions of the University Grant Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 on the concerned subjects shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility conditions of NET/SLET/SET.

Age Limit : A candidate must be under 33 (thirty three) years and above 21 (twenty one) years of age on the 1st January 2013 i.e. he/she must have been born not earlier than 2nd January 1980 and not later than 1st January 1992.

Application Fee : A candidate is required to pay a non-refundable and non-adjustable fee of Rs.200/-(Rupees two hundred) only. Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe of Odisha & persons with disability are exempted from payment of this fee.

Method of Selection : The selection of candidates for recruitment to the posts will be made on the basis of career assessment and Viva Voce. The Commission at their discretion may short-list the candidates to a reasonable number, for conducting interview by making a preliminary selection on the basis of evaluation of their academic career taking into account the requisite minimum educational qualification.
