NIT Kurukshetra, conducts Walk-In-Interview for the post of Asst Professors/Teaching Assistants on contract basis 


Disciplines :  Civil, Electrical, Mechanical / Industrial Engineering & Management, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Computer Engg. / Information Technology, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Humanities & Social Sciences (English/ Economics/ Management), Business Administration (MBA) and Computer Applications (MCA).

A. For recruitment in various Engineering & Technology Deptts. : M. Tech. with First class or equivalent grade at Masters or Bachelors Degree level in appropriate discipline of engineering and technology. The candidates possessing this qualification shall be paid a consolidated salary of Rs. 30,000/- per month. In the event of non-availability of M.Tech. qualified candidates, the candidates having B.Tech. with First class or equivalent grade in the respective disciplines may be considered for appointment. However, B.Tech. qualified candidates shall be paid consolidated salary of Rs. 25,000/- per month.  

B. For recruitment in Humanities/ Science Departments. First class or equivalent Grade at Masters Degree level in the relevant field from an Indian University or any equivalent degree from an accredited foreign University. The candidates must be UGC/CSIR NET qualified or similar Test accredited by UGC or SLET/SET. The candidates, who are or have been awarded Ph.D. degree in compliance of the University Grant Commission (minimum standers and procedure for award of Ph. D degree),  Regulations 2009”, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET. Preference will be given to First class Masters and First class Bachelors Degree holders or candidates possessing Ph.D. qualification in the appropriate field of Humanities/ Science. Further, NET/SLET/SET shall not be essential for eligibility for such Masters programmes in which these examinations are not conducted. 

C. For recruitment in Business Administration Department. First Class Masters degree in Business Management/Administration in relevant management related discipline or First Class in two year full time/three year part-time PGDM declared equivalent and accredited by AICTE/UGC. Preference will be given for First Class Master and First Class Bachelor degree holders in appropriate field of Business  Management/Administration. The candidates should have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET. However, the candidates, who are or have been awarded Ph.D. Degree in compliance of the “University Grants Commission (minimum standard and procedure for award of Ph. D degree), Regulations 2009”, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET. If Net/Ph.D. qualified candidates are not found suitable,  

D. For recruitment in Computer Applications Department. First Class in MCA or M.Tech in Computer Science/Computer Applications. The candidates should have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET. However, the candidates, who are or have been awarded Ph.D. Degree in compliance of the “University Grants Commission (minimum standard and procedure for award of Ph. D degree), Regulations 2009”, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET. Preference will be given for First Class Masters and First Class Bachelors Degree holders. Ph.D in computer Applications/Computer science will be given priority.
Salary : Rs. 30,000/-pm or Rs. 25,000/-
