| Assistant Professor of Farm Machinery and Power Engineering | i. A Bachelor's Degree in Agricultural Engineering / Agricultural and Food Engineering is essential. ii. Good Academic record with at least 55% the marks at the Master’s Degree level in Farm Machinery and Power Engineering or any of the equivalent subjects of Farm Power and Machinery / Farm Machinery and Power / Farm Power and Agro-Energy / Bio-energy from a recognized Indian Agricultural University / IIT, or an equivalent Degree from a Foreign University. iii. Candidates should have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) in Farm Machinery and Power Engineering or equivalent subject for Assistant Professor post conducted by the ASRB/UGC/CSIR or a similar test accredited by the ICAR/ICMR/NCERT/UGC/CSIR i.e. (a) For Agriculture / Animal Husbandry / Veterinary / Fisheries disciplines, ASRB / ICAR NET in the concerned subject is prescribed, (b) For Humanities, languages, etc. UGC NET is prescribed and (c) For Pure Sciences, CSIR NET is prescribed. iv. Ph.D. is desirable. |
| Assistant Professor of Animal Science | i. Good Academic record with at least 55% the marks at the Master’s Degree level in any of the Animal Science subjects, viz. Animal Genetics and Breeding / Animal Physiology / Poultry Science / Animal Nutrition / Livestock Production and Management / Livestock Products Technology / Animal Biotechnology / Animal Husbandry Extension Education from a recognized Indian Veterinary University, or an equivalent Degree from a Foreign University. ii. Candidates should have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) in any of the Animal Science subjects, viz. Animal Genetics and Breeding/ Animal Physiology/ Poultry Science/ Animal Nutrition/ Livestock Production and Management/ Livestock Products Technology/ Animal Biotechnology/ Animal Husbandry Extension Education or its equivalent for Assistant Professor post conducted by the ASRB/UGC/CSIR or a similar test accredited by the ICAR / ICMR / NCERT / UGC / CSIR i.e. (a) For Agriculture / Animal Husbandry / Veterinary / Fisheries disciplines, ASRB / ICAR NET in the concerned subject is prescribed, (b) For Humanities, Languages, etc. UGC NET is prescribed and (c) For Pure Sciences, CSIR NET is prescribed. iii. Should be a registered member of the Indian Veterinary Council (IVC) / any State Veterinary Council. iv. Ph.D. is desirable. |

Ph.D. is desirable. Assistant Professor of Agricultural Economics i. Good Academic record with at least 55% of the marks at the M.Sc. (Agri.) in Agricultural Economics from a recognized Indian Agricultural University, or an equivalent Degree from a Foreign University. ii. | Assistant Professor of Mathematics | . | Assistant Professor of Information Science / Computer Science | Good Academic record with at least 55% the marks at the M.E. / M.Tech. Degree in Computer Science and Engineering or M.E. / M.Tech. in Information Technology / Information Science or M.Sc. in Computer Science / information Science or MCA from a recognized Indian University, or an equivalent Degree from a Foreign University. ii. | Assistant Professor of Agricultural Microbiology | i. Good Academic record with at least 55% of the marks at the M.Sc. (Agri.) in Agricultural Microbiology from a recognized Indian Agricultural University, or an equivalent Degree from a Foreign University. ii. Candidates should have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) in Agricultural Microbiology for Assistant Professor post conducted by the ASRB/UGC/CSIR or a similar test accredited by the ICAR/ICMR/NCERT/UGC/CSIR i.e., (a) For Agriculture/ Animal Husbandry/Veterinary/Fisheries disciplines, ASRB/ ICAR NET in the concerned subject is prescribed (b) For Humanities, Languages, etc., UGC NET is prescribed (c) For Pure Sciences, CSIR NET is prescribed. iii. Ph.D. is desirable. |
How to apply
The applicants have to enclose the prescribed processing fee in the form of Indian Postal Order / Demand Draft / Banker’s Cheque for Rs. 250/- payable to “ THE COMPTROLLER, UAS, RAICHUR” obtained / drawn within the period from 5-10-2012 to 5-11-2012 while submitting the filled in application.
The filled-in applications without the prescribed fee are liable to be rejected. Separate applications with separate fee are required for each of the posts applied. Applications for two different posts should not be tagged together. All communications, in respect of applications for recruitment against the posts advertised by the University, should be addressed to the Registrar, University of Agricultural Sciences, Raichur – 584 102.
Filled-in applications together with copies of testimonials should be sent in an envelope, superscribing on it, “Application For The Post of ________” To The Registrar, University Of Agricultural Sciences, P.B. NO. 329, Raichur - 584 102 on or before 05-11-2012 5.00 PM from the candidates staying in India and abroad.
