Assam Rifles recruitment rally will be held at Jorhat (Assam), NRS-Jorhat Town from 10 Dec 2012 onwards for enrolment to 356 vacancies (male candidates) of following posts mentioned against each :-

Age : Between 18 to 23 years as on 1st Aug 2012
Physical Standard : (a) Height. Minimum height of candidates falling in the categories of Garhwalis, Kumaonis, Gorkhas, Dogras, Marathas and candidates belonging to the States of Sikkim, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura, Meghalaya, Assam, Himachal Pradesh, Kashmir and Leh & Ladakh regions of J & K will be 165 cms. The minimum height for Scheduled Tribes will be 162.5 cms. (b) Chest. The minimum chest of candidates falling in the categories of Garhwalis, Kumaonis, Gorkhas, Dogras, Marathas and candidates belonging to the States of Sikkim, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Assam, Himachal Pradesh, Kashmir and Leh & Ladakh regions of J & K will be 78 cms (minimum 5 cms expansion). The minimum chest for all candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribes will be76 cms (minimum 5 cms expansion). (c) Others.170 cms (Height), 80-85 cms (Chest) & Weight according to height and age.
Pay Scale : Pay scale and other allowances will be as admissible to Assam Rifles Personnel.
How to apply
Candidates shall submit their applications by 20th
November 2012 as per the attached format to the Directorate General
Assam Rifles (Recruitment Branch), Laitumkharh Post Shillong ,
Meghalaya - 793011 along with a Demand Draft for Rs. 50/- (Rupees fifty only) in favour of the Directorate General Assam Rifles payable at SBI DGAR, Shillong, Code No. 7338.
Applications received after 20the Nov 2012 will not be entertained. SC
and ST candidates are exempted from application fee. No cash/postal
order will be accepted.
