The  JNU  has  openings  for  faculty  positions  for  Indian  Nationals  at  the  level  of  Professor,  Associate  Professor  and  Assistant Professor in the areas of specialization as indicated against each.   Candidates  with  good  academic  record,  teaching/research  experience  and  working  in  related  areas  of  research  are  encouraged   to   apply.   University   also   solicits   applications   from   candidates   with   research   interests   that   are   interdisciplinary.  The  essential  qualifications/scales  of  pay  for  these  positions  will  be  as  per  the  UGC  Regulations,  2010,  as  amended  from time to time. 

 

The faculty are

• Professor : 24 posts  in various subjects in the pay scale of ₹ 37400-6700 AGP ₹ 10000
• Associate Professor : 27 posts  in various subjects in the pay scale of  ₹ 37400-6700 AGP ₹ 9000
• Assistant Professor : 39 posts   in various subjects in the pay scale of ₹ 15600-39100 AGP ₹ 6000

Application Fees 

There is an application fee of Rs. 500/- from candidates belonging to General and OBC Category. There is no application fee for SC/ST/PWD and women candidates.
