Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) Assistant Commandants Examination , 2014

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will hold a written Examination on 13th July 2014 for recruitment of 136 posts (BSF-68, CRPF-28, CISF-40) of Assistant Commandants (Group A) in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) viz BSF, CRPF, CISF.

Eligibility:

• Age : Not less than 20 years and not more than 25 years as on 1st August, 2014. The upper age is relaxable for SC/ ST/ OBC and certain other categories of candidates to the extent specified in the Notice.
• Educational Qualification: Bachelor's degree of any recognised university or an equivalent qualification.
• Physical Standards: Candidates must be physically fit according to the Regulations given in notice.
• Sex : Both male and female candidates are eligible for appointment to BSF, CRPF and CISF. However, only male candidates are eligible for appointment in ITBP.

• Specialist Medical Officer (Deputy Commandant)  : 209  posts in various CAPFs (CRPF-114, BSF-58, ITBP-12, Assam Rifles - 5, SSB-20) (UR-99, OBC-61, SC-32,ST-17), Pay Scale :  Rs.15600 – 39100/- Grade pay Rs.6600/-, Age : 40 years.

• Medical Officer (Assistant Commandant)  : 397  posts in various CAPFs (CRPF-103, BSF-103, ITBP-116, Assam Rifles - 26, SSB-49)  (UR-181, OBC-162, SC-48,ST-6) , Pay Scale :  Rs.15600 – 39100/- Grade pay Rs.5400/-, Age : 30 years.

• Dental Surgeon (Assistant Commandant)  : 02  posts in various CAPFs (CRPF-103, BSF-103, ITBP-116, Assam Rifles - 26, SSB-49)  (UR-1, ST-1) , Pay Scale :  Rs.15600 – 39100/- Grade pay Rs.5400/-, Age : 35 years.

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) invites application for the following  49080 posts  of Constables (GD) in BSF, CISF, CRPF and SSB :  

  

Constable (General Duty - GD) / Rifleman (GD)  : 22000 posts approx. in various states and in various CAPFs

Pay Scale : Rs. 5200-20200 grade pay Rs.2000

Age : 18-23 years as on 01/01/2013

Qualification : Matriculation or Xth class pass from a recognized board/university

 

Written Examination -  12th May 2013.
 
Fee Payable : Rs.50/- (No fee for Women/ SC/ST and Ex-Servicemen) by means of Central Recruitment Fee Stamps (CRFS)  or SBI Challan or online payment through account with the State Bank of India.

The Union Public Service Commission conducts Central Armed police Forces (Asst Commandants) Examination , 2012( Written Examination on 11th November, 2012 )

Minimum Educational Qualifications: A candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree of a University incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section-3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 or possess an equivalent qualification. Note 1 : Candidates who have appeared at an examination the passing of which would render them educationally qualified for the Commission’s examination but have not been informed of the results as also the candidates who intend to appear at such a qualifying examination in the year 2012 will also be eligible for admission to the examination. Such candidates will be admitted to the examination if otherwise eligible but the admission would be deemed to be provisional and subject to cancellation if they do not produce proof of having passed the requisite examination along with the Detailed Application Form which will be required to be submitted online by the candidates who after qualifying on the result of the written part of the examination are also declared qualified in the Physical Standards/ Physical Efficiency Tests and Medical Standards Tests.
