Textiles and Apparel Design	Assistant Professor	i) Good academic record as defined by the concerned University with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master’s Degree level, in a relevant subject from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from an Indian/Foreign University ii. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, candidates must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) for lecturers conducted by the UGC, CSIR, or similar test accredited by the UGC. iii. Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-clauses (i) and (ii) candidates, who are, or have been awarded Ph.D. degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. degree) Regulations, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET. For recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions iv. ET/SLET/SET shall also not be required for such Masters Degree Programmes in disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET accredited test is not conducted. v. A relaxation of 5% may be provided at the graduate and master’s level for the Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Differently abled(Physically and visually differently-abled categories for the purpose of eligibility and for assessing good academic record vi. A relaxation of 5% may be provided, from 55% to 50% of the marks to the Ph.D. degree holders, who have obtained their Master’s Degree prior to 19 September 1991. vii. Relevant grade which is regarded as equivalent of 55% wherever the grading system is followed by a recognized University shall also be considered eligible	GT -1 SC(A)(W)-DW -1

Application Fee: Demand Draft payable at Coimbatore  drawn in favour of The Registrar, Bharathiar University. The fees are as detailed below: For SC/ST Candidates - Rs.450/-(Cost of application Rs.200/- and Registration Fee of Rs.250/-) For others - Rs.700/-(Cost of application Rs.200/- and  Registration Fee of Rs.500/-

How to apply

The Filled in application form together with Registration fee should be sent on or before 16.07.2012. Candidates belonging to SC/ST should produce an attested copy of Community Certificate . Eight copies of application shall be submitted to The Registrar, Bharathiar University,  Coimbatore – 641 046.
