Indian Air Force, invites applications for unmarried male candidates for the selection as an Airman in the Group 'X' (Technical) Trades
Qualification : Pass
in Intermediate/ 10+2/ equivalent examination with minimum 50% marks in
aggregate with Physics, Mathematics OR Three year Diploma course in
Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical or Electronics or Automobile or
Computer Science or Instrumentation Technology or Information
Technology) with at least 50% marks in overall aggregate from a
Government recognized Polytechnic Institute.
Age Limit: Candidates should be born between 01 July 1991 to 30 September 1995 (both days inclusive).
Domicile Requirement : To
be eligible to appear in the rally at MGR Stadium, Madurai (Tamil Nadu)
the candidates must have passed the qualifying examination from the
recognized Board of the State of Tamil Nadu, UTs of Andaman and Nicobar
Islands, Puducherry and Karaikal OR should fulfill the domicile
requirements (Domicile Certificate issued by SDM/DM/Executive Magistrate
or any other official authorised by the Government of UT of Andaman and
Nicobar Islands, Domicile Certificate issued by Taluk Tehsildar or any
official authorised by the State Government of Tamil Nadu and UT of
Puducherry only will be accepted). If in Intermediate or 10+2 or
equivalent examination passing certificate, name of the district is not
mentioned, candidate has to bring the original Domicile Certificate in
which the District name is mentioned.
Medical Standards: (i) Height: Minimum height required is 152.5 cms.
(ii) Chest: Minimum range of expansion: 5 cm
(iii) Weight: Proportionate to height and age.
(iv) Corneal Surgery (PRK/LASIK) not acceptable.
(v) Hearing: Candidate should have normal hearing i.e. able to hear
forced whisper from a distance of 6 meters with each ear separately.
(vi) Dental: Should have healthy gums, good set of teeth and minimum 14 dental points.
(vii) Health: Candidate should be free from medical or surgical
deformity. He should be free from all communicable diseases and skin ailments.

How to apply
The Recruitment Test for Group ‘X’ (Technical) trades will be held at MGR Stadium, Madurai (Tamil Nadu) from 22 July 2012 to 25 July 2012 as per the Selection Programme given below. The Recruitment Test will be conducted from 7 AM onwards as per the details given below. Candidates reporting up to 10 AM at the Rally Venue will only be permitted to appear in the Recruitment Test.
