COMBINED GEO-SCIENTIST and GEOLOGIST EXAMINATION  2014 

The Union Public Service commission will hold the Geo-Scientist and Geologist Examination 2014 commencing from 24th May 2014 for recruitment to  following posts Geologist in various departments of Government of India. The examination will be held at various centres across the country.

1. Geologist Group A : 100 posts in Geological Survey of India, Age : 21-32 years as on 01/08/2014
2. Geophysicist Group A : 80 posts in Geological Survey of India, Age : 21-32 years as on 01/08/2014
3. Chemist Group A : 80 posts in Geological Survey of India, Age : 21-32 years as on 01/08/2014
4. Jr. Hydrogeologists (Scientist B) Group A : 05 posts in Central Ground Water Board, Age : 21-35 years as on 01/08/2014

Application Fee :A candidate is required to pay a non-refundable and non-adjustable fee of Rs.200/-(Rupees two hundred) only.(Note: 14.11.2012 is the last date for payment of application fees)

Method of Selection : The selection of candidates for recruitment to the post will be made on the basis of career assessment and Viva Voce Test. The Commission at their discretion may short-list the candidates to a reasonable number ,for conducting interview by making a preliminary selection either on the basis of evaluation of their academic career taking into account the requisite minimum educational qualification or by conducting a preliminary written test.
