Manipur University invites applications for the post of Assistant Professor (Academic Staff College)
Qualification: 1. Good academic record* with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master’s Degree level in a relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. 2. Besides, fulfilling the above qualifications, candidates must have cleared the eligibility test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/ SET. 3. Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-clauses 1 & 2 above candidates, who are, or have been awarded a PhD degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of PhD Degree) Regulations, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/ SLET/ SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities/ Colleges/ Institutions. 4. NET/ SLET/ SET shall also not be required for such Masters programmes in disciplines for which NET/ SLET/ SET is not conducted.

The duly filled in application form attested copies of certificates of educational qualifications, date of birth, experience, caste/ tribe etc and a fee of Rs.300 (Rs.150 for SC/ ST/ PWD) in the form of Bak Draft of SBI drawn in favour of Registrar, Manipur University, Canchipur payable at SBI, MU, Canchipur (Code No.5320) or cash receipt of the university should be submitted in an envelope superscribed with the name of the post applied for with Advt No. and date to the Registrar, Manipur University, Canchipur, Imphal-795003 on or before the 20th June 2012. Downloaded application form should accompany a Demand Draft of Rs.400 (rs.250 for SC/ST/PWD) at the time of submission.
