Qualification : 3 years full time Diploma in engineering in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Metallurgy/ Chemical/ Ceramics/ Civil, and Instrumentation discipline from Govt. Recognised Institution.
Period of Training : Minimum period of training is two (2) years which can be extended as per rules.Pay during training period for Operator-cum-Technician (Trainee) :

Application must be accompanied by the prescribed examination fees and processing charges through Challan. Candidate has to approach any nearby SBI Branch with a print out of Challan and deposit the fees for proper crediting of amount in the allocated account. The fee has to be deposited in a specially opened Account No: “Power Jyoti” -31932241266 of SBI, Burnpur. On receipt of amount, concerned branch of SBI will issue a Journal Number. Journal Number is then required to be filled up by the candidates during online registration. Candidate may also note that a certain amount will be paid by him as Bank Charges to the collection branch of SBI in addition to the applicable examination fee/processing charges. Applications submitted without examination fee/processing charges are liable to be rejected. No other financial instrument except Challan will be accepted and in case any other instrument is submitted, the application shall be rejected.
Selection Procedure : Written Test, Interview, and Medical Examination.
Note : The management however reserves the right not to hold written test in case sufficient eligible applications are not received for the posts advertised.
