Refinery Operator /Refinery Technician
First Class Diploma (55% for SC candidates) in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics Engineering. (OR) First Class Diploma (55% for SC candidates) in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
For Refinery Operators (Power & Utilities): Minimum two years of relevant post qualification work experience in operation of Steam driven TG sets / Gas Turbine / Heat Recovery Steam Generators / parallel operation of Generators with State Electricity Grid / Electrical Sub-Stations 415 volts & 6.6 KV / 110 KV Switchyard, etc. in a Power Plant of any industrial complex. Candidates with 'C'- certificate will be preferred. For Refinery Technicians (Maintenance-Electrical): Minimum two years of relevant post qualification work experience in maintenance of Electrical equipments related to motor overhauling, motor trouble shooting, maintenance of LT & HT Motors and HT (6.6kV/3.3kV) and LT (415 volts) switchgear, ability to read and understand control circuit diagrams and troubleshoot the faults, and maintenance of LT& HT breakers / PCCs / MCCs / battery banks and battery charge System etc. in a process industry including Refinery /Petro-chemical / Chemical / Fertilizer / Power Plant.

Refinery Operator / Refinery Technician
First Class Diploma (55% for SC candidates) in Mechanical Engineering.
For Refinery Operators (Power & Utilities): Minimum two years of relevant post qualification work experience in operation (in rotating shifts) of water tube boilers and other utility systems such as DM Plant, Cooling Tower, etc. in a Power / Utility plant of any industrial complex. Candidates with certificate in BOE / BOA will be preferred. For Refinery Technicians (Maintenance-Mechanical): Minimum two years of relevant post qualification work experience in maintenance of rotary equipments such as Process Pumps / Compressors / Turbine, Stationery equipments such as boilers, heat exchangers, column vessels, piping, valves and tanks etc. in a Process Industry including Refinery / Petro-chemical / Chemical / Fertilizer /Power Plant.

Refinery Technician
First Class Diploma (55% for SC candidates) in Instrumentation / Instrumentation & Control / Electronics & Instrumentation / Electronics & Communications Engineering.
Minimum two years of relevant post qualification work experience in maintenance of process control instrumentation in a process industry including Refinery / Petro-chemical / Chemical / Fertilizer / Power plant with a knowledge of Preventive and breakdown Maintenance / trouble-shooting and rectification of Field instruments transmitters / control valves. Familiarity with Distributed control system / PLCs – Ability to read P&ID and logic control diagrams - able to generate calibration reports.

Refinery Technician
First Class Diploma in Automobile Engineering.
Minimum two years of relevant post qualification work experience in operation & maintenance of automobile equipments such as Cranes, Fork-lifts, Hydro-blast machines, Tractors, DG sets, Air-compressors, Exchanger retubing machines in any industrial complex. 
Desirable:
Shall possess heavy vehicle driving license.

Note : 1. Freshers / candidates with less than 2 years experience may also apply, who will be engaged as Trainee on a consolidated monthly stipend. However, experienced candidates will be preferred. 2. The Apprenticeship Training under the Apprenticeship Act, 1961, shall be considered as part of work experience. 3. Reservations as per the Directives of the Government of India.

Age Limit: 30 years as on 30.06.2012

Pay & Emoluments : Candidates having atleast two years of relevant post-qualification work experience will be appointed in the pre-revised IDA Pay Scale of Rs.5,800-11100 on a basic pay of Rs.5,800/-

Mode of Selection : The selection shall be made through Written Test (to be held in Chennai only) and Personal Interview of the short listed candidates. The written test is scheduled on 05.08.2012.

Application Fee : Candidates not belonging to categories of SC/ST/Persons with Disabilities, shall attach with the Registration Slip, a crossed Demand Draft for Rs. 200/- (Rupees Two hundred only) as application fee (non-refundable) in favour of "CHENNAI PETROLEUM CORPORATION LIMITED", payable at Chennai. Cheque / MO / Postal Order or any other mode of payment is not acceptable. SC / ST / Physically Disabled candidates are exempted from payment of application fee.
