National Institute of Science Communication and Information Resources (NISCAIR), invites applications for the post of Trainee-Students


Qualification : M. C. A. students and to other students pursuing Computer Science/IT course in M. Sc., B. E., B. Tech., M. E., and M. Tech. to work on projects in the area of application of IT as part fulfillment of their degree course requirement. Only final year students belonging to full-time M. Sc. (computer science), MCA, B. E., B. Tech., B. C. A., M. E., M. Tech. should be sponsored. Students belonging to any other discipline are not eligible to apply. The project duration should be minimum 4 months and maximum of 6 months.
Maximum of 4/5 students should be sponsored for undertaking the full-semester project training at NISCAIR, out of which only the required number of suitable student(s) will be selected. NISCAIR reserves the right to reject any/ all applicants, if project(s) are not available or the application(s) is/ are incomplete or is / are not in order.

Selection Procedure : A written examination is going to be conducted on 27/06/2012 at 10.00 AM at NISCAIR, PUSA Campus for selecting the candidates for the training course followed by personal discussions.

How to apply

The students are expected to submit their applications through their respective Head  of the Departments. The last date for submitting application for the batch commencing from July 2012 is 25th June , 2012. Please attach attested copies of certificates as indicated in the prescribed application proforma. Applications should be sent to the Head, I.T. Division, National Institute of Science Communication & Information Resources (NISCAIR), Dr. K. S. Krishnan Marg, New Delhi 110 012, in a coordinated manner along with a letter showing the names of sponsored students, their discipline, up-to-date aggregate marks and merit in the class. Incomplete applications will not be considered and are liable to rejected without assigning any reason.
